Privacy policy

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, email address, region and the details of the job you choose on the form, such as the type of work and property.

We also collect basic technical information when you use the site, such as pages visited and the type of device used. We use Google Analytics for this. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are.

We collect your details so we can pass your enquiry to a local installer who can contact you about it. We also use them to run the service, check for duplicate or spam enquiries, keep records of introductions for billing, and improve the site.

We share your enquiry with one independent installer who covers your region. They pay us for each introduction. Once they have your details, they handle them under their own privacy obligations.

We do not share your details with anyone else for marketing, and we do not sell lists of enquiries.

We use trusted service providers to host the site, store data and send email. Some of these may store information outside New Zealand. We only use providers we reasonably believe protect information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act.

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to run the service and meet our accounting and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by emailing info@heatpumpinstall.co.nz. You can also ask us to delete your enquiry, but we cannot recall details already passed to a installer. Please contact them directly for that.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
